ootd: nauticaa & natives (part 2)

So during my first trip to the National Museum of the American Indian I found out about a powwow event that was to happen a few days after. Talk about good timing!

It was an amazing experience for me. I've been to powwows as a child, but I remember nothing. So to hear the drumbeats resonating throughout the venue and to take in all the colors and textures was truly very refreshing for me.

Something that struck me is how many mixed race natives live in the area. However diverse the dancers were in all aspects of their appearances, when they danced, they danced as one.
